The new fountain [lottery / European funding] at Sheffield is now operating, a fantastic 100 metres of water cascading down stainless steel. I feel that it will prove an irresistible pissoir on a Saturday night for many, but it is impressive. I got asked about it by some media students who were filming interviews with the public: geared up for a long discussion of the post-modern use of stainless steel for a regeneration of Sheffield I was asked, "Do you like it?"
