Another glory of Halifax is the Piece Hall http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halifax_Piece_Hall which if it was in Italy would be world famous. As it is it has a slightly sad air; the council desperately tries to promote it as a trendy shopping destination but it is, after all, Halifax.
