From Glasson to Lancaster is a great ride on the old railway line. Then from Lancaster to Carnforth my route followed the canal, which gives great views across Morecambe Bay. Next came the limestone hills around Silverdale, and finally Arnside where I found a good hotel. Next year it will be 60 years since I was sent away to school there, aged 8.
