Is that an Australian Cattle Dog?

You may remember that Milo the dog is 1/4 Alsatian, 1/4 Labrador, 1/4 mixed unknown, 1/4 Australian Cattle Dog. We had never heard of an Australian Cattle Dog so were a bit bemused.

Yesterday on the Moor a bloke came up to me and said in a Northern Irish accent, "Is he an Australian Cattle Dog?" I was truly amazed. He said they have a lot of them where he grew up, and he recognised the breed in Milo by his allertness.

I now speak to the dog in an Australian accent - works a treat.
