On saturday we walked on the old railway line to Easby Abbey http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.17087 . It is a great walk from Richmond, Edie alternated between walking and using her servant [aka Jake] with the backpack.
As you can see from the photo, where Rowan goes Edie must follow.
