Goole

Danielle was running in an 8 mile race at Goole today so I drove her there, then went a ride deep into the heart of the Yorkshire marshes. She ran well and got a good time. I came across an old Peat works that used to have a whole railway system to cart the peat around. Now all that is left are a few bits of track where it crossed the roads; sad.
Meantime Rowan is swimming in a Gala here in York and has texted us to say she has a new PB [personal best] in the breast stroke. Now I have to show some portraits to a client, so a busy day.
The photo is of another new exhibition at the NRM, this is the streamlined Duchess of Hamilton steam engine that has just been recreated.
