One of the other churches we visited was at Appleton Le Moor. From the outside it was a Victorian monstrosity, but inside had these lovely windows. We chatted to an old lady who had lived in the village since 1937. She let us know we could make ourselves a cup of tea in the church, which was very welcome and much appreciated.
