Purpose Change

On a ride from Retford back to York, I saw a shot with two disused buildings that were vitally important when built. In the middle ground is a disused Trent valley power station, looking magnificent with its work done for good. It would seem a shame to flatten in, but that is probably what will happen. In the distance on top of the hill on the right of the frame, you can see Lincoln cathedral; once a centre of power and influence, now repurposed as a tourist attraction. It was only on processing the image that I realised that in the foreground is a disused windmill as well; saved and restored by the look of it.
