Rather
than the usual slog up and down the A1, I decided to drive to Suffolk
via the Fens. It takes longer but is far more interesting and
pleasant. We came through Thetford heath and I noticed an unlikely
power station there. I thought it might be a peat-burning one [like
they have in Ireland] but this seemed unlikely given the bad
environmental aspect of destroying peat. Turns out it runs on chicken
