This is Well Dale, near Warter in the Wolds, prior to the Right to Roam legislation you could never have walked here. It is pretty clear that the landowner would still have it that way, but fortunately that is not the case. I have never ever seen another human there, so they need not have worried about that "influx of townies dropping litter everywhere".
Rowan and I have just started watching the Alistair Cook history of America - she is showing an interest in the US side of her heritage.
