Friend Paul introduced me to a new bar in Acomb. It is totally different to the rest of pubs in the area (which is a good thing). Basically a rough and ready conversion of a shop to a bar with great craft ale, some chairs and tables and a casual and welcoming approach to all people and dogs who care to visit. So the Crooked Tap gets a big thumbs up.
