Book group last night had a good discussion of The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler. I prepared gimlets cocktails

for those who wanted them [this is a key drink in the novel ... that is my excuse] and they went down very well. I found out that Chandler was born of Quaker parents which is interesting.
