The photo was taken on Tackley station, when I took mother home to Oxford. Today I went to see a woman who is chair of a pre-school group, to see about doing some more photos. The last lot went well, so I hope she gets back to me. The book we are reading for book-group is The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler

I have not read it for a long time but I always thought of it as one of my favorite books: it is with some relief that I find I am really enjoying it. His descriptive writing is fantastic.
