Further on the 4o days and 40 nights of lent [see previous posts]. I was thinking that lent seemed awful long [no chocolate, no cookies etc] and so I counted out the days - 47. So there you go.
As we cycled over the Ouse today we noticed it was in flood. Everyone is York gets a bit blase about it all, floods are just part of the scene, but they still make for pretty spectacular scenes
