For the 6th Sportive of the year Dave and I were down to do the Arthur Metcalfe challenge named after a Yorkshire Tour de France cyclist of long ago http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Metcalfe . Dave was ill so I rode it on my own. We set off all together in a bunch of about 35 riders and covered 19 miles in the first hour including a really steep hill at Terrington. Unfortunately two of us went off course and I ended up not riding the whole route which was a bit disappointing.
We have one Sportive left, in the Peek district in October. So far I have had no rain and no punctures, which is amazing. The picture is of me on my first proper bike - aged 11 I think.
