Lazy Sunday
I had some work to finish this morning [taking a lot longer than I hoped] whilst Rowan and Danielle went off to swimming then meeting. I made a soup from the garden veg, then we all settled on the trampoline [impromptu mass hammock] to read a bit of HP. Rowan spotted an Emperor Dragonfly http://www.dragonflysoc.org.uk/frameset.htm?cold2001&hotnews at least we think that is what it was. Very big, and helpfully perching on our wall for a photo. Rowan recited a poem in celebration of its appearance
“When summer made drowsy the land
A dragonfly came and sat on my hand
With its blue satin body
And wings like spun glass
It lit on my fingers
As though they were grass”.
All happy
