Footie

Mark has taken me to some strange football games over the years;

Italy under 21s at Stamford Bridge [Gianluca Vialli in the team]
Carlisle losing at York
Carlisle losing at a dismal Stamford Bridge in the 80s
Carlisle winning [!] at Darlo
QPR v Forest on a plastic pitch
England v Albania [Gasgoine scored]
Watford v CSKA Sofia [who could resist]
Arsenal getting taken apart by Spartak Moscow 2-5 in 1982

but none of these can top where he and Mandy took me on Tuesday night. Guernsey [where Mandy is from] play in the 5 tier non-league League in the south. So they have to travel across the sea for every away game. They were playing against Epsom, so off we went. Freezing cold, weak tea, vociferous Guernsey fans, a great goal, 5-2 victory to the island boys; a great evening.
