On the third day we rode in beautiful still sunshine across from Skipton to Settle. Dave, our host from Skipton, came with us on his mountain bike. It was a really good route, climbing up on an unfenced road with great views of the Dales. At Settle the two Dave's got the train back to Skipton whilst Ted and I cycled onto Clapham [not that one] where we caught the train back to York via Leeds.
It is a fantastic route and it continues over the Dales to Appleby and then across the borders to Berwick upon Tweed. I am looking forward to doing that next bit.
