We cycled down to the Minster on the tandem en route to the bonfire last night to check out the Minster Lights http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/north_yorkshire/4386990.stm which are on for a week. The effect is of the minster being painted with different color lighting. It was good fun to see it and Rowan enjoyed "hiding" in the light. Overall though I think it fitted into the PBG [phenomenal but ghastly] category.
