Sorrel

Saw a Great Spotted Woodpecker on the peanuts outside the kitchen window this morning http://www.rspb.org.uk/birds/guide/g/greatspottedwoodpecker/index.asp they are quite rare visitors to our garden, so I was glad that Rowan was around to see it.

Made some Sorrel mouse last night. This is a good way of using the ample Sorrel http://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/s/sorcom64.html we have in the garden. The recipe involved cream, sorrel, eggs and butter - really tasty.

The photo is of the Flying Scotsman at York last summer. It is running each day to Scarborough this year, so we hope to take a trip one day
