Te Araroa

One of my future plans, that might well stay as just a plan, is to walk the length of New Zealand. This was first done by a relative of mine on my maternal grandmother's side - AH Reed. I have always felt some affinity with him, on account of my walk across Europe.

Being the google era I just looked to see if there was now a long distance path along the route, and sure enough there is - the Te Araora. And there on the website http://www.teararoa.org.nz/index.cfm/PageID/99/ViewPage/New+Zealand+Long+Walkers

is my great second-cousin-uncle-whatever beaming from the page.

My Auntie Alison reckons he looks like me - I am not sure how to take that.

So, one day...
