For Danielle's birthday we all went to Edinburgh for the weekend. Despite the snow and the ice the train was on time and great as usual. On the saturday we were all entered into the Great Winter Run in Edinburgh. 3000 people running 4k in the snow; it sounds mad but it was great fun [even for non-runner me]. Before the run we had all talked of "taking it easy" and "running as a family". 400 metres in, and that was all out the window as Rowan charged off in front and Danielle and I pretended we weren't racing each other. In the end Rowan finished 2minutes 40 ahead of me and another 10 seconds ahead of Danielle. Definitely worth doing.
